Wave Forms Experiments

Wave Form Experiments in After Effects.

Using one particular tune I created a Wave effect and then played with the adjustments, colours, size, starting and ending point, transparency and speed, to create nice looking transformations which are based on the tune's sound waves and vibrations.

Two object conversation - Topography Animation Project

CG (computer generated) animation using 3Ds Max based on the interaction between two different  objects. An abstract "conversation" , "emotion" or "impuls" driven by unspecified magical force. The room, or the atmosphere in the room, is as if hounded by mysterious memories... This is the scene where all the action is located...

Choosing the kind of objects. Sphere and cube was my last choice. The objects are as simple as possible, because it's easier to manipulate them in 3D space and to add effects - bend, twist, stretch, slice...

At first I wanted to use glass material for the cube, because it makes it look "magical", mystical, crystal and drifting like a 'pure energy'...

 Transformation experiment

 Glow experiment

 Experiment - designing the cube.

Transformation experiment - this is the final shapes, materials and colours i choose.
These are the two objects 'communicating' in my animation. The colours are very important as they represent the emotions. So the sphere has to be in colour whereas the cube representing  the 'dark force' or something, should be in black. Sound was really important in my case, because all the expressions of the different emotions should have to be expressed via sounds. Terribly hard thing to do...

Top Test render - positioning objects.

Top Test render - adjusting sphere's glow and reflectivity.

Top Test render - adjusting sphere's size comparing to the cube's size.

Ending scene where the sphere swallows the cube. And that's all.
